Many of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours we struggle to shift are not happening at a conscious level. They’re driven by patterns learned and stored in the subconscious mind — often early in life, through repetition, emotional experiences, or survival-based coping strategies.


Clinical hypnotherapy is a gentle, evidence-informed way of working with these deeper patterns. It supports change not by forcing willpower, but by helping the mind access states of focused attention where new learning, reframing, and emotional processing can take place.


This work is not about being “put under” or losing control. It’s about learning to work with your mind rather than against it.

Your subconscious mind is where habits, emotional responses, protective patterns, beliefs, and automatic reactions live.

It’s fast, efficient, and designed to keep you safe — but it doesn’t update itself automatically.

This is why you can:

  • Intellectually know something isn’t true
     
  • Understand where a pattern came from
     
  • Want to change
    …and still find yourself repeating the same reactions, fears, or behaviours.
     

The subconscious runs learned programs.
Clinical hypnotherapy helps bring awareness and choice to those programs.

Hypnotherapy works with natural states of focused attention and absorption — similar to being deeply engaged in a book, a movie, or a creative flow state. In this focused state:


  • The mind becomes more receptive to new perspectives
     
  • Emotional memories can be reprocessed more safely
     
  • Old protective responses can be updated
     
  • The nervous system can settle into new associations
     

This allows change to happen at the level where patterns are formed — not just where they’re analysed. You remain aware, in control, and able to speak throughout the process.
Nothing is done to you — the work is done with you.
